Description:
"The world on a stage" - askes the question does the world influence us or do we influence it?
The work portrays young newborns in the pit of an audience. They are meant to be positioned towards the stage. A world we know well. However they each assume their own position and show no interest in what is going on in this masquerade.
The world set to be on a stage, is a harsh subjective view from the artists eyes as a teenager when he started this. During the last year of his high school education. He had a strong determination to go into the world and become what his heart desired; an artist. However looking back now. This "world", or more likely his direct environment in a small town had no intention of him becoming an artist.
It would be a career that would lead to dispair and hardship. Why should he endure it? Instead the artist turns to portray his inner demons and feelings of hurt into this large work.
To be an artist in this world takes grit and no one will support a young teen boy with a mind destined for practical dogma and engineering.
So would the world then influence him or has this world crafted his destiny before birth?
