Description:
What started as an artwork inspired by Damien Hirst's, For the love of God, I embarked on working on an artwork for the skull exhibition.
It never quite made it in time, and I decided not to rush.
With the work lying deathless on my desk. I decided to try make it come alive again. Using techniques I learnt from Diane Victor's workshop. I decided to vigorously work with ink and then ended up testing leaf prints.
The most successful of these experiments was adding jik to the leaves and placing them on the Quink ink which then created the inverse print you see from the almost gold colour near the bottom of the artwork.
"Jussie Damien" - was my take trying to revive a dead work.
