Description:
As part of my trip to Nepal for the Manang Artist Residency, I befriended our neighbours at the residency, who often allowed me to sit in their hostel and draw. Girmee and his family were very kind to me and often offered me tea as I sheepishly tried to learn their language. During the residency, I began a portrait of him, and he would check on me daily to see whether I had finished it. Unfortunately, I had to leave the residency early, before I could finish drawing his portrait. I hope to travel again and, one day, gift it to him.
